FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: using: for X-ray densitometry. Summary of the invention is that X-ray densitometry reference object contains a set of elements of different calibration degrees of X-ray attenuation, while the elements of the reference object are made in the form of metallic shells of a spherical shape having the same outer diameter and different thickness, as well as a centrally located cavity, that is filled with a homogeneous mixture of metal powder of the same metal, as the metal of shells and of X-ray transparent vehicle, with the calibration degree of X-ray attenuation of each element of the reference object is determined through the equivalent thickness of this element, which is calculated using the given formulas.
EFFECT: technical result: ensuring the independence of the calibration degree of attenuation from the angle of incidence of the X-ray beam and increasing the uniformity of the distribution of the weakening properties of the elements along their cross-section.
