FIELD: nuclear engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of making a multichannel collimator for gamma-radiography and can be used in pulsed gamma-radiography of fast processes. Method is implemented by forming a coaxial layered structure consisting of alternating shells from materials with high and low coefficient of absorption of gamma radiation with formation of channels for passage of direct-flight radiation. Collimator body is formed by a set of conical shells of variable thickness, wherein the shells are made by winding the foil end-to-end on a frame in the form of a cylinder, the frame is made from a material with a low absorption coefficient, each shell is made multilayer.
EFFECT: improved quality of X-ray images due to effective suppression of scattered radiation.
