FIELD: personal and household items.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to hand-held garment steamer (1) comprising steam generating chamber (5) having surface (9) and heater (10) to heat surface (9), such that water fed onto surface (9) is converted into steam. Hand-held garment steamer (1) further comprises scale collection chamber (14) having opening (25). Surface (9) and opening (25) are positioned relative to each other and configured so that when garment steamer (1) is in first orientation (A), in which surface (9) extends downwardly away from opening (25), water fed onto surface (9) flows away from opening (25) to be evaporated from surface (9). When garment steamer (1) is in second orientation (B) in which surface (9) extends downwardly towards opening (25), scale dislodged from surface (9) falls into scale collection chamber (14) through opening (25). Scale collection chamber (14) is located below steam generating chamber (5) in both first orientation (A) and second orientation (B). Present invention also relates to garment steaming system (40) comprising hand-held garment steamer (1).

EFFECT: hand-held garment steamer with a scale collection chamber is proposed.
