FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a manual steam treatment device. Manual steam treatment device comprises steam generating surface; heater for heating the steam generating surface; water supply unit for supplying water to the steam generating surface; controller configured to perform a user-selectable descaling process, in which the heater is driven to heat the steam generating surface to the first temperature, and water supply unit is actuated to supply water to the steam generating surface at a first flow rate to remove scale from the steam generating surface; along with a sensor configured to determine the angle of inclination of the steam generating surface relative to the horizontal, while the controller is connected to the sensor and when choosing a scale removal process, if the steam generating surface is inclined at an angle exceeding the first predetermined angle from the horizontal (X-X), is configured to prevent at least one of the water supply device water supply on the steam generating surface with the first speed and heating the heater of the steam generating surface to the first temperature. Method for descaling and a controller configured to implement a method for descaling is also proposed.

EFFECT: technical result is aimed at eliminating scalding of the user by sudden outbursts of steam and hot water during the implementation of the ironing process or when descaling a handheld device for steaming; in addition, the condensate on the surface of the sole of the handheld steam treatment device is eliminated, leading to the formation of wet spots on the surface of the clothes during ironing, as well as in the case of leaving the handheld steam treatment device unattended its activation is excluded.
