FIELD: disinsection.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to pest control. Insect decoy includes a vapour-isolated vessel, a chemical compound disposed within the vapour-isolated vessel, and an excitation energy source. Chemical compound has one or more absorption bands at a set of absorption wavelengths and emission bands at a set of emission wavelengths. Excitation energy source is configured to produce electromagnetic radiation at the absorption wavelengths. Excitation energy source enables to fluoresce the chemical compound and release photons at the emission wavelengths. Vapour-isolated vessel has a window. Window transmits infrared radiation and is substantially transparent to the released photons at the emission wavelengths of the chemical compound.
EFFECT: provides no harmful side effects in comparison with chemical insect control methods.
