FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, surgery. Under the control of fibro-esophagogastroscopy, a Fogarty catheter is inserted through the hole in the drainage tube located at a distance of 3–4 cm from the skin. End of the catheter with the balloon is taken out beyond the end of the drainage tube into the fistulous tract so that the balloon of the catheter is located at a distance of 0.5–1.0 cm from the anastomosis defect. Balloon of the catheter is inflated, obturating the fistulous tract. Edges of the fistula are free to close. Position of the catheter is monitored every 5–7 days for 2–3 weeks. Remove the liquid from the balloon and the Fogarty catheter after healing of the anastomosis defect. Drainage is removed after 2–3 days.
EFFECT: method provides for an increase in efficiency and a shorter treatment period for esophageal-mediastinal-dermal fistulas.
