FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to vascular surgery. Transversely dissect the internal carotid artery, at a distance of 0.3–0.5 cm above the atherosclerotic plaque. At the same time, the carotid glomus is retained when the arteries are mobilized. Then the excision of the walls of the internal carotid artery in the form of an acute angle directed proximally. Then, on its opposite side from the transverse dissection, towards the common carotid artery, the wall is excised in the form of a similarly oppositely directed cut out acute angle. After that, without tension, the side walls, their bases and anastomosis are assigned.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to bypass the carotid glomus zone and perform a single-step endarterectomy with leveling the pathological tortuosity of the internal carotid artery.
