FIELD: medicine; cardiovascular surgery.

SUBSTANCE: following is performed: resection of the affected segment of the ICA with stenosis and tortuosity, cutting off the ICA from the mouth, as well as distal to the tortuosity. The area of the ICA with pathological tortuosity is utilized. From the initial sections of the ICA and the CCA bifurcation area affected by atherosclerosis, an eversion endarterectomy is performed, then reimplantation is performed by anastomosing the endarterectomy section of the ICA with the distal section of the ICA and the proximal section, the bifurcation of the CCA with the formation of a neo-ostium of the ICA.

EFFECT: method allows to perform the most adequate endarterectomy from the internal carotid artery, resect the pathological tortuosity of the internal carotid artery, restore the lumen of the internal carotid artery using only local tissues, without the use of any autologous, synthetic and other xenomaterials, maintain blood flow in all collateral branches of the ECA, besides, the method is an effective prevention of thrombosis and late restenoses of the ICA.
