FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to cast squirrel-cage induction motors. Rotor comprises a core, arranged on the shaft, consisting of rotor sheets with grooves and winding bars arranged in the grooves, as well as short-circuiting rings. Core of the rotor is made by alternating packets of two types of rotor sheets made of electrical steel: with double grooves made in them, in which the upper and lower winding bars are located, wherein a ferromagnetic bridge is formed between the groove portions, and with single deep grooves. In the zone of packets with deep single grooves, heat exchange takes place between the upper and lower winding bars of the double rotor.

EFFECT: use of the invention provides increased starting torque and limited starting current of the induction motor while maintaining its manufacturability and reliability in operation.
