FIELD: electrical engineering; chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical and electrical industry and can be used in the manufacture of lithium-sulfur batteries positive electrodes. Method for producing a composite material for lithium-sulfur battery positive electrode formation containing nano- or submicron particles of elemental sulfur, is characterized by the fact, that the sulfur-containing precursor solution is subjected to the chemical conversion in the presence of oxidized graphite and / or oxidized carbon nanotubes in the form of a suspension of solid particles. As a result, a formation of the precipitate is carried out in the form of sulfur particles encapsulated within the matrix. After that, the resulting precipitate is washed out to reach a concentration of a modified carbon and sulfur sediment in an amount of 90 % by weight and freeze-dried at a temperature of at least 50 °C for at least 2 hours.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the lithium-sulfur battery specific energy, and also to provide a possibility to create by a simple method of optimal by its parameters material for the formation of a high performance positive electrode.
