FIELD: electrochemical power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to energy storage systems including chemical current sources based on metal-sulfur accumulators with flowing electrolyte. Technical result is achieved by the fact that metal-sulfur cathode is used as positive electrode (Me-S, where Me = Li, Na, K, Mg, Ca, Al and Zn); electrode cells containing a metal-sulfur cathode and a metal (or metal alloy) anode are separated by a cation-exchange (Men +) membrane, which provides for the exchange of cations (Men+ = Li+, Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Al3+ and Zn2+), non-aqueous ion-conducting electrolyte is supplied by a pump (and/or compressor) from a separate reservoir (reservoirs) at a balancing rate.
EFFECT: creation of metal-sulfur flow accumulator with improved technical characteristics of energy density and service life.
