FIELD: ceiling design.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to suspended ceiling systems, particularly to a ceiling system with removable ceiling panels. Ceiling system comprises: a longitudinally extending grate supporting member defining a longitudinal axis, the grating support member including a lower flange, an upper stiffening channel, and a vertical web connecting the stiffening channel to the lower flange; a ceiling panel; torsion spring installed on the ceiling panel; and a spring clip slidably mounted on the grating support member and movable in opposite axial directions, the spring clip comprising a mounting portion forming the holder, a pair of side flanges extending sideways outward from the mounting portion and a pair of fastening tabs, while a pair of side flanges engages and holds the torsion spring. Pair of elastic holding tabs engages the grating support element on opposite sides of the vertical web, the fastening tabs are located below the lower surface of the upper stiffening channel and are adapted to engage the lower surface of the upper stiffening channel to vertically secure the spring clip to the grating support member. At the same time, in the grate, the clamping legs are centrally located on the spring clamp and protrude inwardly from each side flange into the holder and are formed as an integral part of each side flange. Ceiling panel is supported from the grating support element by means of torsion springs. Variant of the ceiling system, method for installing a spring clip on a ceiling grating support element and a spring clip for installing ceiling panels is also described.

EFFECT: technical result consists in creating an improved ceiling system that can facilitate the installation of individual panels to the grate and reduces installation costs.
