FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: ceiling system in one embodiment conceals seams between adjoining ceiling panels to provide a monolithic appearance of the ceiling. System includes support structure and ceiling panels, each of which has upper surface, lower surface and peripheral edges. In one embodiment, the peripheral edges of the panels can have a hybrid edge shape including a first edge profile and a second edge profile different from the first one. Cladding material attached to the lower surfaces of the ceiling panels after their attachment to the support structure has a continuous length to cover and hide a plurality of panels and seams. Lining can be attached to panels by means of adhesive. Also disclosed is lining method and ceiling panel.
EFFECT: present invention relates to ceiling systems and, in particular, to lined ceiling systems having a monolithic seamless appearance.
