FIELD: separation.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for mist elimination. Cyclone for a cyclone mist eliminator comprises an inner wall having a generally frustoconical configuration and enclosing an inner chamber containing an inlet end that is open to allow fluid to enter the inner chamber through the inlet, and an opposite outlet end; an outer wall having a generally frustoconical configuration and surrounding the inner wall and spaced outwardly from the inner wall to create an outer chamber in the space between the inner wall and the outer wall, wherein said opposite outlet end of the inner chamber is open to allow passage of a portion of the fluid when it is in the inner chamber through said opposite outlet end and from the cyclone without passing through the outer chamber; openings formed in the inner wall to allow passage of another portion of said fluid when it is present in said inner chamber through openings to the outer chamber; a swirler located at the inlet end of the inner chamber for communicating vortex motion to said fluid when it is in said inner chamber; and a fibre pad located in the outer chamber.
EFFECT: technical result is high efficiency of mist separation.
