FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical devices for measuring and controlling, namely to devices for measuring the geometric parameters of heated articles, and can be used in manufacturing shells. Optical device for measuring the diameters of large-sized parts comprises transducer of the part edge position, which is an objective, in the image plane of which a CCD-matrix is connected to the computer with which the output of the pyrometer located at the free end of the lever is connected, and to which a linear line display is connected, and the optical-mechanical size setting unit further comprises a fixed-size disk rated for a nominal diameter, mounted on an axis rigidly fixed to a rod mounted on the free end of the movable base.
EFFECT: increase accuracy, speed and reliability of the device.
