SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser technology, namely to laser ranging equipment. Ranging laser comprises a transmitting channel including a laser emitter with a transmission lens and an ignition circuit, and a receiving channel including a photodetector device with a receiving lens. Photodetector device comprises a photosensitive element and a primary processing circuit, the output of which is the output of the photodetector device, and also contains an information processing unit associated with the laser emitter ignition circuit and a shutter with a drive. Photodetector is enclosed in a sealed body with an optical window, and the shutter is installed inside the photodetector body in close proximity to the photosensitive element and is made semitransparent at the operating wavelength of the laser emitter with a transmittance τ, ensuring the attenuation of incoming laser radiation to a safe level, wherein the first control output of the information processing unit is connected to the laser emitter ignition circuit and the second to the shutter drive, the curtain transmittance τ is located within: , where Epds is energy sensitivity of the photodetector device; Et – the energy of the signal reflected from the retro-reflector, set at the maximum specified range to the target; Emax – the maximum energy of a signal reflected by the retro-reflector; Empl – the maximum permissible energy level of a signal arriving at the sensitive area of the photodetector device.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention consists in providing full protection of the ranging laser in conditions of laser counteraction by active and passive means with minimum dimensions of the device and its maximum speed and reliability.
