SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field device control systems. Control system comprises a valve that is positioned in response to an event, a controller, for controlling the valve, memory, a gate, motor driver interface, motor driver, comprising a control input and a control output, wherein the motor driver control input is connected to the motor driver interface control output; a motor, current sensor, position sensor and comparator. Current sensor is connected between the motor and the power source and serves to measure the current consumed by the motor. Comparator connected to the current sensor and the gate comprises a current level threshold and is able to transmit a status signal to the gate from the result of comparing the current and the current level threshold.
EFFECT: prevention motor damage.
