SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for adjusting the setpoint temperature of a heat transfer medium and to the heating system. Method for adjusting a setpoint temperature of a heat transfer medium circulating in a heating or cooling system, wherein the contour comprises a plurality of heat transfer units, each of which is equipped with a temperature-controlled valve. Total degree (OD) of opening all temperature-controlled valves is determined by a time and the setpoint temperature Tw,ref of the heat transfer medium is controlled according to a predetermined total opening degree OD of all temperature-controlled valves, time-dependent total degree OD of the valve opening is based on the actually estimated resistance of the hydraulic system as compared to the estimated minimum and/or maximum resistance of the hydraulic system. Estimation of the minimum and/or maximum resistance of the hydraulic system is based on the estimated resistances of the hydraulic systems, registered within the last 5–25 days. This makes it possible to improve the regulation of the set temperature of the heat transfer medium circulating in the heating system and the corresponding heating system.
EFFECT: this allows the heating system to function with maximized efficiency while maintaining a comfortable temperature in all heated areas.
