FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of polyethylene. Method for improving the separation efficiency of residual hydrocarbon from polyethylene particles in the blowdown vessel is described. Technology of ethylene polymerization on the catalyst in the first polymerization reactor and in the second polymerization reactor in order to form polyethylene particles and regulating the size of the mentioned polyethylene particles is proposed. Particle size control includes controlling the catalyst productivity in the reactor system. Capacity control includes adjusting the first catalyst productivity in the first polymerization reactor, adjusting the second catalyst productivity in the second polymerization reactor, or controlling both the first productivity and the second productivity, as well as the addition of the activity inhibitor to the first polymerization reactor, to the second polymerization reactor or to both reactors, and controlling the catalyst residence time in the reactor system.

EFFECT: technical result is improved separation of the residual hydrocarbon from the polyethylene particles in the blowdown vessel.
