SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for holding towels, clothes or similar articles on vertical supports. Also, the user can remove and hang items on the holding device, not putting their hands on it. Said technical result is achieved due to fact, that a holding device is used, consisting of a clamping piece and a hook, connected to each other, where the clamping piece and the hook form a loop-like shape. Wherein the hook and the clamping piece have the form of movable levers, each of which is attached to the support part independently, while the levers of the hook and the clamping piece are connected to each other by an additional jumper, whose the ends are fastened to both levers at some distance from the zone where they join the supporting part, and the jumper is made in the form of a movable arm relative to the hook and clamping piece or in the form of a cable stretched through at least one support.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is a simplified process of holding an object to be hung by using its weight, and a simplified process of removing it from the holding device by simply lifting the object.
