SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to technology of obtaining carbon sorbents and discloses a method for producing a carbon sorbent having antibacterial and antimycotic activity. Method includes impregnating the carbon hemosorbent granules with a modifier solution, with a hemosorbent: modifier ratio of 1:1, followed by heat treatment, and as a modifier, a mixture of glycolic and lactic acid is used at a ratio of glycolic acid: lactic acid 70:30 or 20-50% aqueous solution of lactic acid, impregnation is carried out for 20-24 hours, and heat treatment is carried out in three stages: at a temperature of 105-135 °C for 1-2 hours, at a temperature of 145-175 °C for 4-13 hours and at a temperature of 165-185 °C for 6-20 hours. Invention can be used in medicine and veterinary medicine.

EFFECT: proposed method allows to obtain a carbon sorbent in the form of granules of round shape that contains a copolymer of glycolic and lactic acid or an oligomer of lactic acid in an amount of at least 20% characterized by a specific adsorption surface of not more than 120 m2/ g and a total pore volume of not more than 0,35 cm3/ g.
