Abstract RU 2751000 C1

FIELD: pharmacology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a molded carbon sorbent, its preparation and use in medicine as an applicator for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis. The modified sorbent is a molded mesoporous carbon sorbent of cylindrical shape and geometric dimensions: diameter 8-10 mm, length 45-60 mm, with one internal channel of circular cross-section, specific adsorption surface no more than 50 m2/g, crushing strength no less than 20 kg/cm2, glycolic acid content in the form of polyglycolide of not less than 5 to 7.4, weight percentage. A method for manufacturing a molded sorbent is described, including impregnation of the initial molded sorbent with a 50% aqueous solution of glycolic acid for 24 hours at room temperature, the ratio of sorbent-modifier 1:2 by weight, followed by drying for an hour at 103-107°C and polycondensation of glycolic acid on a carbon molded sorbent in two stages: at a temperature of 190-200°C for 1 hour, at a temperature of 220-230°C for 5 hours. A method for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis in gynecology, including sanitation with a molded carbon sorbent modified with a glycolic acid polymer, is described.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the production of a molded carbon sorbent modified with glycolic acid, which has an effective bactericidal effect for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis.
