SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of medicine, namely to a method for preparing a carbon sorbent with antioxidant and detoxifying properties, including impregnation of carbon sorbent granules with 25-50 wt. % aqueous solution of glycolic acid for 3-24 hours at a ratio of sorbent: aqueous solution of glycolic acid 1:2 by weight, followed by polycondensation on a rotary evaporator at an established vacuum of 16-18 mm Hg. and a temperature of 193-197°C for 4 hours, with a gradual decrease in the rotation speed of the flask every hour by 70 rpm from 260 to 50 rpm, and also refers to a carbon sorbent with antioxidant and detoxifying properties obtained by the above preparation method, with a polyglycolide content of at least 12 wt. % up to 21 wt. % with a specific adsorption surface from 37 m2/g no more than 100 m2/g and a total pore volume of no more than 0.206 cm3/g.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides the preparation of a carbon sorbent with antioxidant and improved detoxification properties by the proposed method.
