SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a pipe collar or clamp comprising housing (22) having longitudinal slot (23), the regions of housing (22) that lie opposite each other at longitudinal slot (23) being formed as bent over tabs (24, 26), and having clamping mechanism (32) for clamping housing (22). Clamping mechanism (32) comprises first bolt (33) and second bolt (35), which are each provided in tabs (24, 26), and clamping means (36), which is held in first bolt (33) and can be pivoted relative to second bolt (35). Clamping mechanism (32) further comprises spacer part (42), which has contact section (43), that can be brought into contact with contact region (40) of second bolt (35), and through-opening (46) for clamping means (36), which is spaced apart from contact section (43) of spacer part (42).
EFFECT: invention provides a larger opening area of the longitudinal slot of the clamp.
