FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to impacting construction technique, and is intended for driving of wells in soil, hammering rod elements in soil, removing construction elements from soil, compacting soil, etc. Air-driven device comprises a housing with a branch pipe having an inlet and exhaust outlet(s) in the rear wall, hammer installed in the housing with possibility of movement, forward stroke chamber and reverse stroke chamber, channel in the hammer and shut-off valve. Annular groove is made on the outer surface of the hammer, in its front part. Housing comprises an anvil, front annular projection and hammer reverse motion limiter are made on the inner surface of the housing, and the shut-off valve is in the form of an elastic ring mounted in said annular groove of the hammer with the possibility of interacting with the inner surface of the housing. Anvil, the front annular projection and hammer reverse motion limiter are made in the middle part of the housing; the elastic ring of the shut-off valve is installed so that it can interact with the inner surface of the middle part of the housing. Front part of the housing is provided with an accumulation chamber of compressed air with an isolation valve arranged in it. Accumulation chamber is provided with a central pipe, which is passed into the said channel of the hammer through a hole in the anvil to supply compressed air from the accumulation chamber to the reverse stroke chamber. Central pipe has a hole for supply of compressed air into accumulation chamber. Isolation valve is installed on the outer surface of the central pipe with a possibility of axial displacement along it and interaction of the upper end face with the hammer through said hole made in the anvil, and the lower end face - with a flange of the outer surface of said pipe. Device has an additional forward stroke chamber, an additional accumulation chamber, an additional anvil, an additional inlet for supplying an energy carrier to an additional accumulation chamber, additional shut-off valve, additional annular groove, rear annular projection and exhaust groove formed on the inner surface of the housing. Forward stroke chamber is formed by the inner surface of the branch pipe and the inner surface of the hammer and is communicated with the reverse stroke chamber through the accumulation chamber and the central pipe. Additional forward stroke chamber is formed by the housing, outer surface of the branch pipe, additional anvil, additional cut-off valve and additional shut-off valve in the form of an elastic ring mounted in an additional annular groove in the rear part of the hammer with the possibility of interacting with the cylindrical surface of the housing. Exhaust outlet(s) are located in the rear part of the housing. Additional accumulation chamber is formed by the inner rear part of the housing, outer surface of the branch pipe and additional cut-off valve. Additional cut-off valve is installed on the outer surface of the branch pipe with the possibility of axial displacement along it and interaction with the lower end face with the hammer through the hole in the additional anvil, and the upper end face – with the flange of the outer surface of the branch pipe.

EFFECT: higher impact power and providing, on the operator's command, an easily operated reversible operating mode of the air-driven device.
