FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the preparation of ores and concentrates in ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy by the agglomeration and calcination method, namely, to devices of agglomeration and roasting machines of conveyor type. Ignition hood of the agglomeration machine contains a lined body, equipped with internal end and side walls and arranged on its arch by rows of burners. Distance from each of the inner side walls of the hood body to the axis of the nearby longitudinal row of burners is 2.5÷4.5 of their caliber, distance from the inner end wall of the hood body to the axis of the first transverse row of burners is 0.65÷0.95 of the distance between the transverse rows of burners.
EFFECT: reliability of the ignition hood is increased by increasing the resistance of its lining.
