FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: sintering method involves charge feeding loaded in fire grate cars into the workspace of ignition furnace and sintering under the action of the combustion products, filtered through the ignited charge layer. Before fire grate cars enter the furnace workspace, the charge is divided in the longitudinal direction and its surface is mechanically sealed, and sintering in the furnace working space is carried out using a movable gasdynamic shutter mounted in place of fire grate cars with charge enter the furnace. The furnace contains a chamber structure with a frame, end, side walls and roof panels with burners. In this case it is provided with a support post made from a transverse bar with separating plates lowered towards the charge and the sealing plate. On the input side, the furnace is configured with a movable gasdynamic shutter consisting of longitudinal bars placed in a lower part on the inlet end wall and the arcuate wall arranged in between them.

EFFECT: improved thermal furnace regime and fines reduction in the finished agglomerate.
