FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: furnace for ignition of the agglomeration charge, sintered on moving grate trolleys, contains a metal lined frame, air-blown side panels and dashboards, an ignition chamber and a transition chamber with a partition wall between them, devices for ignition and flame control. The roof panels are made in the form of alternating air-insulated panels and panels with burners, between which the transition pipes are mounted, which form platforms for maintenance of the panels. The partition wall is formed on a curved suspension with radius of curvature, equal to half the height of the ignition chamber, and the furnace is provided with a collector into which the cooling air nozzles with nozzles are withdrawn to flow towards the separation wall and which serves as a frame for said wall.

EFFECT: it is possible to use air, heated in the charge cooler to 300-450 degrees, and personnel access for maintenance of the furnace.
