FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the manufacturing a component using additive manufacturing. Digital model of a component that is to be manufactured is provided, the model is oriented with respect to a direction of construction, model is modified by adding a sacrificial equalizing portion, configured to equalize the residual stresses that are introduced into the component while same is being manufactured, raw component is created layer by layer using an additive manufacturing technique based on the model, said layers being stacked in the direction of construction, then the sacrificial part is removed from the raw component derived from the sacrificial equalizing portion of the model to obtain the component that is to be manufactured. Sacrificial equalizing portion of the model is performed to ensure that a consumable part of the raw weighing 70% to 130% of the mass of the asymmetric portion is obtained.
EFFECT: potential risk of residual stresses accumulating during the manufacture of the asymmetric component is reduced.
