SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a defect prediction device in a bundle formed by a plurality of cables connected together, in particular electric cables, comprising protective cover (10) configured to cover the bundle and having a plurality of braid members (100), wherein said braid members (100) are woven together to form a tubular sheath, each braid member (100) comprising a plurality of longitudinal braid strands (101) forming a layer. According to the invention, shell (100) comprises at least one electrically conductive signal strand (102), wherein said signal strand (102) is disposed with braid strands (101) of braid member (100) so as to be included in the layer forming said braid member (100), wherein signal strand (102) is electrically isolated from braid (101) of the braid of braid member (100).
EFFECT: invention provides the ability to predict defects without complicating the device.
