SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technical field of cables, in particular to a cable, which is made of synthetic polymer material, is stable to crushing forces, shows high rigidity and tensile strength, and which includes wires for data signal transmission and/or power wires. The claimed cable of an upper line sonar has a power element and a core, wherein the cable of the upper line sonar contains a segment of the main cable, containing a core, as well as at least one fiberoptic wire, which: (i) is located in a spiral shape and (ii) is fully enclosed in solid flexible material. Moreover, the specified at least one fiberoptic wire is enclosed in solid flexible material by its placement and/or enclosing between: (a) a layer of solid flexible material, containing a core surface, and (b) a layer of solid flexible material, containing an additional layer, which is outer to the core surface. At the same time, an additional thermoplastic layer contains an outer surface, and the fiberoptic wire contains an optical tube having a diameter, while measurement of the diameter is obtained by measurement of a distance along an imaginary straight line passing within a cross-section of the optical tube along its greatest width. The fiberoptic wire contains the most outer edge, while the solid flexible layer additionally contains a layer having a thickness measured from the most outer edge of the fiberoptic wire to an outer surface of the layer, which is at least four times greater than the diameter of the optical tube of the fiberoptic wire and may contain from four to sixty six diameters of the optical tube of the fiberoptic wire.
EFFECT: creation of a non-steel cable of an upper line sonar, providing higher resolution and/or quality of a signal transmitted by means of fiberoptic wires contained in the cable of the upper line sonar.
