FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, namely to methods for producing pig iron and/or granulated casting machines on filling machines and/or in installations for granulating cast iron. Method includes smelting in a blast furnace of vanadium cast iron, casting of cast iron. Before pouring liquid vanadium iron, it is blown with oxygen to a carbon concentration in the metallic melt in the range 2.5–4.0 % with addition of a solid oxidant-coolant in an amount equal to 20–100 kg/ton of iron, from the calculation of the temperature of the metallic melt after the oxygen purge 1,350–1,450 °C with production of vanadic vanadium slag with a content of vanadium oxides of 18–26 % and liquid vanadium iron with an increased iron content of 0.5–4.0 % relative to the iron content in cast iron, wherein, oxidizer-cooler is used in the form of scale and/or non-fluxed pellets and/or agglomerate and/or briquettes.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase iron content in pig and/or granular iron, and also allows to extract vanadium into vanadic commercial slag from vanadium cast iron intended for casting into pigs or granules.
