SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the drying of grain and can be used in agriculture and the billet system primarily for shaft and column dryers. Method of automatic control of the grain dryer is to measure the moisture content of the current grain moisture, correction of moisture indicators according to the grain culture data from the influence of external factors, when moisture is attained, unloading grain from the grain dryer, and if the moisture content of the grain is exceeded, stopping its discharge and continuing drying, the current moisture content of the grain being fixed by determining the current analog signal for the culture. In this case, before discharge, the grain consumption is reduced and a minimum of three analog signals of the moisture meter are paused, and the cessation of unloading is accompanied by the circulation of the grain. Also provided is an apparatus for automatically controlling a grain dryer, which comprises microprocessor 1, meter 2, correction unit 3, a display, a grain crop selection unit, moisture meter 15 at the dryer outlet. In addition, the device comprises moisture meter 14 at the dryer inlet, pause duration correction unit 6 and grain circulation means.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the intensity and safety of drying.
