SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medical technology, namely to imaging system having microwave emitting antennas. Medical imaging system contains microwave emitting antennas, antennas for receiving the electromagnetic field, which are arranged around a space for receiving a human tissue medium to be observed, space limiting segment, a lattice of radiating antennas and a grid of receiving antennas, said two grids being independent, and actuators configured to move the radiating grids and/or the receiving grids by angular movement around the segment and vertical translational movement along the segment, so as to ensure scanning of the observed space, wherein said two grids are independent with respect to angular displacement and translational movement. Method of receiving image of a human tissue medium to be observed is carried out using a medical imaging system.

EFFECT: use of inventions makes it possible to expand the arsenal of means for obtaining images of the patient's tissue.
