SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of automatics and telemechanics in railway transport for the interference protection of Automatic Locomotive Signalling System (ALSS) devices. Method is based on shutting down the ALSS system operation on a section of the track that is influenced by electrical power transmission line, while maintaining the indication of the locomotive traffic light on the entire length of the section affected by the interference, the ALSS system shutdown occurs with the participation of GLONASS information on sections where electromagnetic interference from power transmission lines is observed, on sections with short track circuits, on bridges with metal trusses and overhead power transmission lines. And the impact on the ALSS system is carried out with the participation of a fragment of the program, which is additionally introduced into the memory of the locomotive computer to prevent a prolonged shutdown of the ALSS system, a timer is provided to turn on the ALSS system after a predetermined time interval, the timer is reset by pressing the button.
