FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of on-board monitoring of rail threads integrity. In compliance with this invention, control is carried out with participation of rail line, ends of which are connected by shunts, and power supply is carried out by current of tone frequency, as shunts used are wheel pairs of locomotive and cars, power is supplied from a generator with frequency of 10 kHz, installed on a locomotive, connected to the car body through an electronic ammeter and a jumper, to the locomotive body - through a jumper, reverse current of the generator flows through automatic coupler and rail sections between the locomotive and the first car, wherein in the coils fixed above the rail heads in the non-working cabin of the locomotive, EMF are induced, currents of which pass through the band-pass filter to the locomotive receiver inputs; by means of receiver information is transmitted to locomotive computer, which calculates ratio of current value of first coil to current value of second, if current of one coil exceeds current of another one by 20-50%, then rail damage is fixed under the condition that there are no insulating joints under coils, including those installed with runaway; presence of insulating joints is determined by locomotive computer with participation of GLONASS receiver and two-thread plan of section stored in computer memory; when rail damage is detected in automatic train mode, driver control valve and locomotive controller are stopped, train moves only in coasting mode, which reduces longitudinal loads on rails and increases probability of safe passage by train of rail damage point; operator receives information on rail damage from locomotive navigator, if necessary, train speed is adjusted.

EFFECT: higher reliability of control of integrity of rail threads after passage of locomotive before entry of cars in conditions of vibration.
