METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC MONITORING OF THE STATE OF RAIL BARS OF A RAILWAY TRACK Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC B61K9/08 E01B35/12 G01N27/82

Abstract RU 2800214 C1

FIELD: testing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of non-destructive testing of materials by studying stray magnetic fields and can be used in monitoring seamless rail bars in order to prevent path stability violations under the influence of longitudinal temperature forces. The method for automatic monitoring of the state of the rail bars of a railway track consists in placing sets of marks made of ferromagnetic materials at predetermined places on the track, one of the marks of the set being placed on a reference sleeper, the second at a known distance from the first on the rail head. Marks are detected by a flaw detection tool that periodically monitors rail tracks equipped with a magnetization system and magnetically sensitive sensors, the displacement of the rail bar is estimated by comparing the current distance between pairs of marks with the results of previous measurements and with acceptable values. According to the signals of the magnetically sensitive sensor, caused by the scattering of the magnetic field in the area of the butt gap, the bolted joints of the rail track are detected. The amplitude and spatial characteristics of these signals determine the magnitude of the butt gaps. According to the joint analysis of the values of the butt gaps and displacements of the rail bars relative to the reference marks, the state of the rail bar of the railway track is estimated.

EFFECT: accuracy and reliability of automatic monitoring of the state of rail sections of the railway track is increased.
