FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of engineering and can be used in the manufacture of low-noise and/or high-speed rolling bearings of various types and designs. Method of manufacturing a rolling bearing includes applying polymer coating to the raceways of the bearing rings using an aqueous emulsion of styrene-acrylate copolymers with a pH of 7 to 9 and a particle size of 0.01 mcm to 0.06 mcm, vitrifying of the styrene-acrylate copolymer by cooling the rings with coatings below the vitrifying temperature Tv of the styrene-acrylate copolymer and assembling of the bearing with its further running-in by rotating the bearing as in dry friction, as in the presence of a lubricant or oil at given loads, while the running-in time is set at least 4 minutes with dry friction and from 15 minutes in the presence of a lubricant or oil under loads from 0.025–0.03 of the bearing static load rating Co or more, in which there is no slippage in the bearing.
EFFECT: technical result: reduction of bearing vibration level, increase of bearing speed with increase in service life.
