FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to rolling bearings used in supports of axes of machines and mechanisms to increase their service life. Rolling bearing comprises internal ring, outer race and rolling elements. Inner ring and outer ring of opposite surfaces are coated with enamel made with thickness of 20–100 mcm from silicate powder with fractions from 5 to 15 mcm. In the above range of thickness, enamel is plastically deformed together with metal, preserving protective properties.
EFFECT: obtained coating is resistant to friction, corrosion and high temperatures; enamel coating is applicable to all standard sizes of rolling bearings.
