FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used to search for offshore hydrocarbon deposits. Essence: seismic and electrical exploration studies are carried out at the site by means of appropriate stations installed on the profile. Moreover, seismic exploration studies are used to identify promising hydrocarbon structures, and electrical exploration studies - to search for anomalies of increased resistance and/or polarizability created by the deposit. Wherein the anomalies of variations of the geomagnetic field are used as an additional criterion. For this purpose, variations of the geomagnetic field are recorded by means of a base magnetic station installed in a geologically homogeneous rock block outside the area under study. In addition, the geomagnetic field is measured with a magnetometer-gradiometer in motion by two sensors spaced along the profile. Variations of the geomagnetic field from the base magnetic station and the variations obtained from the results of the geomagnetic gradient survey are estimated. Anomalies of the variations are calculated and identified them with the anomalies of the longitudinal conductivity of the sedimentary cover. According to seismic survey-based structures, anomalies of increased resistance and/or polarizability, determined according to the electrical exploration study data, and the anomalies of the longitudinal conductivity of the sedimentary cover, determined from the geomagnetic surveys data, the complex anomaly is selected and identified with the hydrocarbon deposit.
EFFECT: technical result: increased efficiency of search for offshore hydrocarbon deposits.
