FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to marine and construction equipment and can be used to strengthen and stiffen hulls of vehicles, and also as elements of a power kit for structures experiencing external compressive loads, for example, for construction equipment and for reinforcing mine wells. Proposed torus frame is made of a composite material, the outer skin of which is formed by alternating layers of continuous reinforcing fibers of spiral and annular winding, has a circular or oval cross-section with a cavity filled with a low-density working medium, for example air, under pressure, the value of which is proportional to the interaction force with the reinforced shell of the product, the proportionality coefficient satisfies the condition 0<k≤d0/s, where d0 – diameter of the central axis of the torus frame, s – cross-sectional area of the torus frame.
EFFECT: proposed design makes it possible to fabricate frames from a winding composite material of large dimensions, increase the coefficient of use of the strength of the composite material and reduce the weight of the resulting products; in addition, the claimed structure of the torus frame makes it possible to simplify the technology of its fabrication, to reduce the defect formation in the structure of the material, and to ensure the obtaining of high stiffness and strength characteristics.
