FIELD: plastic processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to layer-by-layer manufacturing of parts. Method comprises steps of: (a) providing a material in the form of a powder, (b) heating a first amount of the powder to a temperature above melting point TF of the powder and forming, on the surface of the base, a first bath containing molten powder and a part of the base, (c) heating a second amount of the powder and forming, on the surface of the base, a second bath at the outlet of the first bath, (d) repeating step (c) until a first layer of the part is obtained on the base, (e) heating the n-th amount of the powder and forming an n-th bath over part of the first layer, (f) heating the [n + 1]th amount of the powder to a temperature above the melting point TF of the powder, and forming an [n + 1]th bath, partially containing the molten powder, at the outlet of the n-th bath, (g) repeating step (f) until a second layer of the part is obtained, (h) repeating steps (e) - (g) until the final shape of the part is obtained. During the formation of each of the baths, auxiliary heating is used to heat the material located in the zone adjacent to the bath, which zone comprises at least one region selected from the inlet region located at the inlet of the bath and the outlet region located at the outlet of the bath to a temperature below the melting point TF.
