SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Automated orthopedic external fixator comprises an electromechanical drive with a self-locking planetary roller-screw actuator, a shaft of which is coaxially connected to a replaceable travel cylinder, two brackets for bone threaded rods, one of which is mounted on a fixed drive body, other – on the travel cylinder, two grippers to the brackets, an annular axial force sensor, a control and power unit. Actuator is located in a stepped cylindrical rod cavity connected to the head of the actuator travel nut through the first three-stage hinge and fixator of the travel nut turn. Actuator support nut is connected to the fixed drive body via the second three-stage hinge and fixator of the support nut turn. Each fixator is made in the form of a spring ring with paws, fixed to prevent axial movement. Each gripper can be attached and detached from each bracket to be mounted and removed between the gripper and the bracket of the electromechanical drive body and replaceable travel cylinder. On the side surfaces of each bracket there are two protrusions, one of which has a hole for removable pins, and in the other – a circular groove for removable pins. Centers of the holes and circular grooves are on circles of the same radius, with the centers located on the common axis of the drive body and travel cylinder.

EFFECT: invention provides increased reliability and maintainability of the automated orthopedic external fixator.
