SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of geophysics and can be used to evaluate subterranean hydrocarbon formations. Seismic receiver with oscillation damping system, which in some embodiments of the invention comprises a housing comprising a conductive coil and one or more springs is claimed. First magnet is suspended within the housing by means of one or more springs, and said conductive coil is located in the magnetic field of the first magnet. Magnets designed to suppress vibrations are located outside of said housing, each of the magnets designed to suppress vibration, is oriented so as to repel the pole of the first magnet closest to this magnet, designed to damp the oscillations.

EFFECT: increase the security of the geophone to external factor impact.
