SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for applying adhesive tape (40) to cylindrical surface (21) of cylindrical body (20), comprising: at least two axially parallel securing rolls (30a, 30b) designed to make contact with the cylindrical surface of the cylindrical body; adhesive tape feed for feeding adhesive tape (40) to cylindrical body and means for rotating cylindrical body (20) about its cylindrical axis.
EFFECT: method and device for applying an adhesive tape to a cylindrical body are proposed.
