FIELD: optics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cable mount (786) configured for fixing a strength member of a fiber optic cable to a fixture, and comprises front end (716), rear end (718), and longitudinal channel (720) extending between them, wherein the channel is defined by upper and lower transverse walls (731, 733) and vertical divider wall (735). Channel is configured for receiving a portion of the cable. Strength member pocket (724) for receiving the strength member of the cable is located on an opposite side of the divider wall from the longitudinal channel, the strength member pocket communicates with the longitudinal channel through an opening provided on the divider wall. Strength member clamp is configured to fix the strength member of the cable against axial pull. Cable management structures in the form of spools (727) define at least one notch (797) therebetween that communicates with the longitudinal channel for guiding optical fibers extending from a jacket either upwardly or downwardly therethrough. Cable mount is configured to also allow routing of the optical fibers through the longitudinal channel all the way from the rear end to the front end.

EFFECT: invention provides optical fiber distribution systems, including density, ease of use, and cable management.
