SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to compositions for controlling microorganisms. Synergistic microbicidal composition comprises: (a) non-ionic surfactant with structure: R²O(CH₂CH(CH₃)O)₃(CH₂CH₂O)₅H, in which R² means a mixture of linear C₈-C₁₄-alkyl groups; and (b) a benzoate or sorbate, wherein the weight ratio of said non-ionic surfactant to the weight of the benzoate or sorbate is from 1:0.12 to 1:109.7646. Composition is added to the aqueous medium. Synergistic microbicidal composition comprises: (a) non-ionic surfactant with structure: R²O(CH₂CH(CH₃)O)₃(CH₂CH₂O)7H, in which R² is a mixture of linear C₈-C₁₄-alkyl groups; and (b) benzoate or sorbate, wherein the weight ratio of said non-ionic surfactant to the weight of the benzoate is from 1:3.6010 to 1:109.7646 and the ratio of the weight of said non-ionic surfactant to the weight of the sorbate is from 1:0.06 to 1:0.5714 or from 1:2.3990 to 1:109.7646. Composition is added to the aqueous medium. Synergistic microbicidal composition comprises: (a) non-ionic surfactant with structure: R¹O(CH₂CH(CH₃)O)₅(CH₂CH₂O)₉H, in which R¹ denotes C₈ an alkyl group; and (b) a sorbate, wherein the weight ratio of said non-ionic surfactant to sorbate weight is from 1:0.1 to 1:0.9143.

EFFECT: providing a combination of microbicides, which have a synergistic activity in relation to different strains of microorganisms.
