SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural machine building. Combine harvester with a chopping device comprises a knife-equipped knife drum, a knife bar with opposing knives and a friction bottom with a friction bar placed behind it. Knife bar and friction bottom are rotatable about their axes of rotation and adjustable by means of a drive system without the use of tools. Opposing cutting knives and/or the friction bar partially protrude into the flow of the harvested mass passing through the chopping device. Combine harvester includes at least one sensor for sensing properties of the harvested mass and/or operating parameters associated with the control device and/or an additional control unit.

EFFECT: chopping device of the combine harvester can be quickly adjusted to changing harvesting conditions.
