FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for the preparation of treated filler, silica. Process comprises (a) treating a slurry containing the untreated precipitated silica, where the untreated silica is not pre-dried, by the treatment composition containing the treating agent, thereby forming a suspension of the treated precipitated silica to produce the treated precipitated silica, drying said treated slurry. Treating agent comprises a compound selected from a cyclic imide, a derivative thereof, an anhydride and a derivative thereof. Treatment composition further comprises a coupling agent containing an organosilane.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve the compatibility of the silica with the polymer matrix, to improve the process viscosity of the polymer composition.
