SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of heat power engineering and can be used for burning low-grade coals and waste products of their processing in energy pulverized-coal boilers. Method of flaring low-grade coals in boiler plants, in which coal is subjected to mechanical activation, ignition and combustion, coal is pre-ground to a particle size of 5 mm or less, subjected to mechanical activation with a re-grinding to a particle size of 40 mcm or less, then the mechanically activated carbon of micropole is injected into the first stage of the burner-type device of the snail type, then the products of coal combustion of micro-resin and the main fraction of low-grade coal is introduced into the second stage, the pulverized coal mixture is ignited by the combustion products of the microwater coal using its heat of combustion.

EFFECT: effective and reliable method of ignition, stabilization of combustion and flaring of low-grade coals in boiler plants.
